I'm in Australia. June 5th is when it was coming out. And its 12:05 AM and still no video. The counter hit zero also, but no video sad.gif
Odinium
Which is why I asked in a different thread what the counters timezone was...
Calgone
Got under 24 hours to go. thumbsup.gif
Sand
Since Bethesda's an American company I expect it will be shown when its local time counter is up.

Probably Eastern Standard Time.
I think Bethesda uses that, not sure. shrug.gif
PlasmaRifle
That's like tommorow for me.
ElZombie
00 Days to go, is what I'm seeing, and have been since 12 am here.

Maybe I shouldn't have stayed up, going to be tired at work tomorrow!

Chrissuit33
Bethesda is in EST so i'd guess we have about 13 hours 45 minutes to go. that's if they put the teaser up at midnight.
Sand
Man, it is silly to expect these timers to actually mean anything.

But the concept art was released between 2 and 3 GMT, and thats pretty much when im expecting the trailer, as it will be in keeping with when other stuff.
So im guessing at about 23 hours to go.
moclippa
The counter is set on Eastern Time. (GMT -05:00)

Bethesda is based in Maryland on the Eastcoast. So no m8, you still have one more day to go.
patason
I'm at GMT+1, bloody planet.
Dubb-Vault18
I'm not sure i can take this "TEASER: 00 Days" Stuff... AAAHHHH!

If you get up early tomorrow morning - it's going to be the first thing you'll see..... biggrin.gif
Calgone
All these people from different time zones make things very confusing.
Why cant you all live around when i say the time is damnit!?!?!?!?

Where is the video?????

I'm guessing 12:00am EST. About 13 hours to go.....
Himoshi
1..1..13 hours!?!
Ah hell dood, I can't wait that long, I thought I'd get to watch it TODAY tongue.gif
Now I'll probably dream about a Fallout ala Brute Force...
Leitmotif
Give 'em time, they just got to work.
Mr_Cyberpunk
I'm reading 00 on the counter, anyone else getting that?

Everyone who is in your timezone. My countdown still shows 01 Days.
Micke
My counter shows 01 days. But soon I guess we will see it at -01 days smile.gif
Mr_Cyberpunk
So basically the counter isn't even synchronized. Figures.
¬me
01 days, wtf?
I mean why are they so lazy in programming "01 day" at least? Man! comp26.gif

And like that they are making Fallout3, but what have I expected? Something better than Oblivion?
Knight_Kin
No you doofuses, it's clearly based off of YOUR computer clock. If it wasn't, then it wouldn't show 00 days for someone in Austrialia. Dude, it's 11:44 AM EST on JUNE 4th here. You have to wait another day, relax...the teaser will come.

"Lazy on programming?" Make your own counter then. No one wants to hear you cry over the semantices of seeing 01 (which by the way is how it was denominated in the original games. Oh i'm sorry you didn't connect the dots. Lol).
Mr_Cyberpunk
ITS Y2K ALL OVER AGAIN! GIVE US MORE DIGITS PLEASE! AHH ITS DAY 00! THAT CAN'T BE! *boom* *head explodes*

What are you talking about? That has not really much to do with my comment anymore. It has to be "one day" not "one days", thats grammar and it is a must that programs run nearly perfection. The only way to achieve that is putting time in coding, so what?
sandkiller
For us Europeans, does this mean the teaser will be released during dawn or later?
PeterWolf
Reminds me of all the (pardon the pun) fallout from the Neverwinter Nights 2 countdown counter. it was at 00 for alot of people before Atari decided the whole world count down wasnt such a good idea after all.

please tell me you're kidding...

the little flash module has no indication of anything. beth isn't a web design studio.

anyway, yeah, 1 day here, i'm in their timezone so i don't really expect anything until tomorrow morning. most of the concept art came out around 10-11am here.

Wanna stop the spamming so this thread doesn't get locked? The counter is set to EST. There is still a day left here [I'm in Pennsylvania, so in the same time zone as Rockville MD.]

Brian Black
This is just for a teaser, people, gah. Just be glad this isn't for the horrendous "tool kit" disaster that happened a few months ago when Neverwinter Nights 2 was released. If you weren't interested in NwN2 then, I'll let ya know what Atari did. They continuously ADDED more days to the timer!

Imagine one day watching it countdown to zero and then suddenly it went up to 18 days before the release.

Now that was bad. I might have gotten some of the numbers wrong there, but regardless, they simply weren't ready by the time of anticipated release to give us our free pre-order toolkit.

The reaction was not pretty.

So hopefully everything runs well by tomorrow or so. Living in -5:00 EST, I'm going to laugh if they don't have anyone working at midnight to upload it and just decide to put it up at sometime around 12pm EST. I mean do they really have to upload it at exactly midnight? Not really. I'm sure they can do it anytime tomorrow and still be okay. Just get some patience, it's just a teaser.

I'm guessing it was more "resource friendly" so rather than updating from a PHP/SQL server they could just update from your actual PC. The PHP option is the better one as people don't need to keep F5ing every bloody ten mins for an update hence their bandwidth costs are lower. Frankly it isn't lazy programming but rather a poor choice. But then Bethesda are known for making poor choices when it comes to PR.

Yep, it's going to be going up tomorrow...sorry if there was confusion for you guys located around the globe.

Just so long as we know now. Wasn't important for the art, but the teaser... well...

Very well then ,that means I'm going to wake up at 6 in the morinig and make the hype bomb expolde.

Does that mean that we Brave and Handsome Europeans will watch it earlier than Amerikanskies?

We are living in your future after all. intergalactic.gif

The teaser will probably be up about 3 PM GMT time.... (or maybe we should just do like the US military and use ZULU time?? Not that I know what it is ?? but it sounds good...) since the concept art did go up about that time. Maybe around 3.30 PM GMT time (thats 16.30 CET time where I also will be). Luckily I have to go a meeting tomorrow about a job or something like that, so I'm gone untill the trailer will be shown. That means that I don't have time to get nervous about which, too me, is quite good...

As for the counter I think it changes when the local time hits 12.00 AM June 5th 2007, but I could be (somewhat) wrong...

As for time zones, remember a little book called 'around the world in 80 days' (it's a movie, too). Go read it or rent the dvd, and see for yourself why timezones are very neat idea... And while your at see if you can find a dvd that's called 'the ocean's lenght' or 'measuring the lenght of the oceans' or some such things. It tells of the hard job it was to navigate the ocean without latitudes (I think --- it is the lines that circomvent the globe...). And why do I tell you this? To appreciate the latitudes (and longitudes) because without them much ofthe known world wouldn't even have been found. And in Europe we would not have known about the great continent of Australia nor would we even have heard of New Zealand... and some places...

Just be patient and the clock will toll ---- for the release of Fallout trailer....

Bethesda time... June 5th.... 2007....

ETA:

It does not mean that Europeans get to watch the trailer earlier than the Americans does. What it does mean is that the time stamp will be different. The time stamp in Europe will 3.30 PM GMT, or 4.30 PM or 5.30 PM (in Russia) and the time in New Zealand will be like 3.30 GMT+12 hours which is like 3.30 thursday morning... If the teaser is released the 10.30 EST American time, then it will be that... But the time clockwise we get to watch it, depends on where we live on the planet. (ouch, my head is spinning right now...)

ETA 2:
Even in the USA, it will be very weird timewise. If the teaser is released 10.30 AM EST time, then it will 7.30 AM (I think) in California (PST), and for the people on Hawaii it would? still be Tuesday (as I think Hawaii is 11 hours behind the EST time??) And you can continue this discussion the comm. disc. forum about time and if it is real or not...

which is sort of is, and then maybe not so much...

Nop, everybody around the globe will watch it when they release it, at the exact same time for everyone.

i'll check it at midnight, and some few hours after. Eyes of the world are upon Bethseda. If they screw up this game i have no more reason to live smile.gif

i think that the counter on the webpage is based on YOUR computer time, so i guess the video will be there when Bethesda puts it there;)

I have 1 day in the counter...
will have to go sleep and see if it will be in the morning before I go to job...
but i fear that download rate will be horrible... so many people waiting to see it... and hoping it will enlighten them...
